TELUS Health Solutions signs reseller agreement with Vigilance Sante to distribute the company’s Rx Vigilance Therapeutic Advisor tool to pharmacists across Canada

Powerful medication analytics software alerts pharmacists to potential drug or condition interactions for patients

Montreal, QC, April 15, 2011 —TELUS Health Solutions is pleased to announce the signing of an exclusive reseller agreement with Vigilance Sante to distribute Therapeutic Advisor software to pharmacists across Canada. In Québec, this solution will be offered integrated with Assyst Rx, TELUS Health Solutions’ pharmacy management software.

Rx Vigilance Therapeutic Advisor monitors patients’ medication profiles to provide the pharmacist with warnings of potential drug or condition interactions. Using 32 different validations from age-related contraindications and atypical drug combinations to medication to be avoided and prior allergy reported, the software provides three levels of alerts giving the pharmacist choice in the level of clinical intervention required to effectively manage problems. Rx Vigilance’s benefits don’t stop there. Considering the expanding scope of practice of pharmacists across the country, Rx Vigilance provides the foundation for professional service tools that will support pharmacists while performing patient medication assessments, adapt prescription, order lab tests, etc.

Rx Vigilance is available as a standalone version today. TELUS is planning on integrating Rx Vigilance drug advisor into its selected pharmacy management systems including Assyst Rx.
