Recently the Ivey Centre for Health Innovation and Leadership released a thought-provoking
white paper titled "Transforming Canadian Health Care through Consumer Engagement"
that outlines five strategies for creating goal-focused, pragmatic action in re-designing
Canadian health systems to focus on engaging consumers.
Throughout Canada and the US the call for consumer/patient centric health care has
become the rallying cry for change in the system. TELUS is answering that call with
the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that put consumers
first; enabling them to become key partners in achieving health system efficiency
and improving individual access to scarce health resources.
In my opinion, this is a must-read paper for everyone involved in health care transformation.
