The Province of Alberta awards contract to TELUS-led consortium

TELUS Health Solutions, Microsoft, PwC and Get Real Consulting awarded contract to provide a personal health record platform to support the development of health applications and tools for Albertans

Vancouver, BC, January 25, 2012 — TELUS and its consortium partners today announced they have been awarded a contract to provide the Province of Alberta with Microsoft HealthVault for the development of a personal health record solution.

Microsoft HealthVault is a trusted online consumer platform that will give Albertans the ability to more easily collect, store and manage their family’s health information in a safe environment using sophisticated user control and security features. This includes moving personal health information quickly across the healthcare continuum whether they are at home, in a clinic, at a hospital or wherever consumers’ lifestyles or business travels take them.
